Heathfield Road, W3 - Back Garden

“Oscar showed us the design which was complex due to the steep drop from the main house to the actual garden of circa 6ft, his design was excellent as he managed to link the whole garden together, creating unique spaces, with carefully positioned planting and some beautiful step work drawing the eye down into and from the garden. The Brief

The challenge of this garden was the over 5ft difference in height from the back door down to the existing lawn level. The idea was to create a larger patio section up closer toward the house, to accommodate a terrace for an outdoor dinning area, whilst not disturbing the already established tree. Wide steps leading down to the lawn with different terraced level planting either side of the steps helping create a vista view down into the garden leading to a newly constructed office studio. A new lawn with stepping stones, a dry stone wall and planting were all added to bring this tired garden back to life.
